Dear Junie,

I have been meaning to start these letters to you for a long time now. First thing that I want you to know is how much your father and I love you. We waited for you for a LONG time. We were always wanted and always will be. You were totally worth the wait.
When you were born I was SHOCKED by how much you looked like your Daddy. But after a couple years you started favoring me to my delight! We have had a special bond from the very beginning. It was instant and I have loved you fiercely since.
You are our comedian in the family. On one hand you are our free spirit - who dances like no one is watching, who wears 5 outfits a day, who loves pretty bows and headbands and play makeup. On the other hand you are very tender hearted. We can't look at your wrong without breaking your cute little heart. We are all very much wrapped around your finger. You love to show physical affection as well as verbally tell us how much you love us. If you tell Dad that you love him - you feel that you have to let me know as well so I don't think you love me any less.
You are starting the 1st grade next week. We have been buddies for the last 6 years while sissy has been at school and now you are leaving to be at school longer than you will be awake with me. It will be an adjustment for both of us.
I hope this year is one of growth and adventure. I love you Junie bug.
